Ensuring Print Accuracy at Alpha Commercial Cards
Use this artwork approval checklist to carefully review your proof before production. This artwork approval checklist helps you confirm text accuracy, correct colors, proper image resolution, and bleed setup so your final printed product meets expectations.
Carefully reviewing your proof prevents costly reprints and delays. In addition, it protects your brand standards and ensures your marketing materials look professional once printed.

First, review all written content carefully.

Spelling: Confirm that all text is spelled correctly.
Font & Style: Make sure the correct fonts and styles are used consistently.
Placement & Information: Verify that all text is positioned properly and that no information is missing.

Even small text errors can affect the credibility of your printed materials.

Next, confirm that all visual elements appear exactly as intended.

Positioning: Check that images, logos, and text elements are aligned correctly.
Resolution: Ensure all images and logos are high resolution (at least 300 DPI) for sharp print quality.

Low-resolution images may appear blurry or pixelated when printed.

Additionally, confirm that your design elements remain accurate and complete.

Design Integrity: Confirm that no elements in your artwork were moved, removed, or altered.
Recreated Logos: If a logo was recreated, zoom in and verify that every component appears accurate and complete.

Consistency protects your brand identity and prevents unintended design changes.

Color accuracy is critical for brand presentation.

Color Alignment: First, confirm that all colors match your approved specifications.
Screen vs. Print: However, colors may appear slightly different on screen due to monitor calibration and lighting conditions.

Printed materials may vary slightly from digital previews.

CMYK Printing: We print using CMYK color mode for commercial accuracy.
Pantone (PMS) Matching: If you require exact color matching, provide a specific PMS code. You can learn more about Pantone standards at Pantone.com.
Exact Color Matching: If exact matching is critical, clearly indicate the PMS code in your artwork.
CMYK Default: If no PMS code is provided, colors will convert to CMYK, which may result in slight variations from your digital proof.

Proper bleed setup ensures clean trimming after printing.

General Print: A 0.125-inch bleed is required on all sides for most printed materials.
Large Format & Signs: Larger products may require extended bleed depending on specifications.
Responsibility: If required bleed is not included, Alpha Commercial Cards cannot be held responsible for trimming variations.

Always confirm bleed settings before final approval.

By approving your proof, you confirm that the final artwork accurately represents your expectations. Once approval is given, production will begin.
